Suspensions & appeal procedures
Eligibility for registration with Homes for BoltonBolton Community Homes on behalf of Bolton Council provides the lettings service which enables and assists people to access social rented housing in Bolton.
The scheme is open to all people who are over 16, currently residing in the United Kingdom and not subject to immigration control to register an interest in accessing housing in Bolton.
If you are deemed to be ineligible to go onto the register you will be informed of this decision in writing and will have the opportunity to appeal against this decision. To ask for a review or appeal against a decision made regarding your housing registration you must respond in writing within 28 days of receiving the decision letter. SuspensionsDue to previous anti-social behaviour, racist or criminal activity some customers may be restricted from certain estates or areas of the borough for issues of individual and community safety. This may result in some customers being suspended from actively expressing interest in available homes.
If you are suspended from the lettings scheme you will be informed in writing of this suspension and the reasons why. If you feel the decision is wrong you can request a review of this decision.
To ask for a review or appeal against a decision made to suspend you from the scheme you must respond in writing within 28 days of receiving the decision letter.
