Homes for Bolton is the Choice Based Lettings Service operated by Bolton Council on behalf of the Bolton Housing Partnership

Bolton Housing Partnership (BHP) brings together housing providers - Bolton at Home, Clarion, Great Places, Irwell Valley, Mosscare St Vincent's, Onward, Bolton Council, Health and Social Care Services and Voluntary and Community Social Enterprise sector (VCSE).

Collectively, BHP manages, maintains, and invests in over 27,500 safe, warm, and secure homes, housing over 60,000 Bolton residents and delivering solutions for our communities - together. 

The partnership plays a vital role in supporting the Bolton Vision 2040. In doing so, we work together to build new homes and services, enabling the development and management of housing in a way that creates sustainable communities and neighbourhoods. 

We can give you advice and assistance on a variety of housing issues including:

  • Renting accommodation from private landlords and registered providers
  • Housing Benefits - advice on entitlement and assistance with queries
  • Relationship Breakdown - housing options
  • Advice in relation to security of tenure, rights and obligations, rent, harassment, threat of eviction, repairs, legal procedure for seeking possession
  • Homelessness or homeless prevention - advice on your rights and different housing options.
  • Homeless interventions to help prevent you from losing your home.
  • Referral to certain temporary accommodation schemes
  • Bolton Bond Board Scheme - A non-cash deposit guarantee scheme to help people who are homeless and on a low income or benefits, to secure private rented accommodation
